Vestas, the global leader in sustainable energy solutions, is looking for a Lead Policy Specialist for the Danish market, to join the Policy & EU Affairs team in Global Public Affairs. We are looking for someone who can work closely with global and regional colleagues as well as key external stakeholders to monitor, analyze, and shape policy and regulatory developments in Denmark that affect our business and advance policy solutions that support the company's interests. Vestas, the global leader in sustainable energy solutions, is looking for a Lead Policy Specialist for the Danish market, to join the Policy & EU Affairs team in Global Public Affairs. We are looking for someone who can work closely with global and regional colleagues as well as key external stakeholders to monitor, analyze, and shape policy and regulatory developments in Denmark that affect our business and advance policy solutions that support the company's interests. Responsibilities
As our Lead Policy Specialist, you can expect to carry the following key responsibilities:
- Oversee Vestas' policy strategy in Denmark, including execution within national energy, climate, industrial, and infrastructure policies
- Develop policy positions and strategic recommendations aligned with business objectives
- Build and maintain relationships with Danish political and regulatory stakeholders
- Collaborate with industry peers on policy-related challenges and opportunities
- Represent Vestas in national wind industry associations
- Draft memos, letters and other key documents on policy issues for both internal and external use when required
To qualify for this position we believe you hold the following qualifications:
- Degree in economics, political science, business, or a related field
- Demonstrated 5-7 years of experience in policy and regulatory affairs in Denmark, along with thorough knowledge of the Danish policy landscape and environment
- Solid business acumen and the ability to connect policy work with commercial goals
- Proficiency in both written and spoken Danish, along with the ability to convey ideas clearly to diverse audiences
- Advanced English proficiency, as English is the company's primary language
