Across the world, new locomotives and rail vehicles are being developed, existing fleets are being modernized and the demands on safety, reliability and long service life continue to increase.

At Elpress, we have been creating secure electrical connections since 1959.
Now we are looking for an someone to take over the role of International Key Account Manager who wants to develop our business within the railway and locomotive industry and build lasting relationships with some of the industry's most important players.

This is a role for someone who enjoys being close to both technology and people. Someone who understands that successful international sales is not about short-term transactions, but about understanding the customer's application, solving real challenges and earning trust over time.

Your role

As International Key Account Manager for Railway & Locomotive, you will become part of our international Key Industries Team and take responsibility for developing the railway segment globally across Europe and South America.

You will work with locomotive and rolling stock manufacturers, maintenance organizations, railway operators, system integrators and other companies within the rail industry.

Much of your work takes place where the business happens: together with customers, engineers, decision makers, our subsidiaries and our distribution partners. International travel is therefore a natural and important part of the role.

The mission

• develop existing strategic customer relationships and identify new opportunities

• build relationships with locomotive manufacturers, rolling stock OEMs, maintenance organizations, railway operators and system integrators

• understand customer applications and connect their needs with Elpress' technical expertise and solutions

• coordinate sales activities with Elpress subsidiaries and distribution partners

• lead commercial discussions and negotiations with key accounts

• identify opportunities across the wider Elpress portfolio and partner network

• represent Elpress at customer meetings, technical discussions, industry events and other international forums

• contribute to the long-term development of Elpress within the global railway industry

Who we are looking for

You probably have experience in international technical sales and are comfortable discussing both business and technology. Experience from the railway or locomotive industry, rolling stock, maintenance or another technically demanding transportation sector is particularly valuable.

A technical or engineering background within areas such as electrical engineering, railway engineering or mechatronics will help you understand our customers and their applications.

Knowledge of electrical systems in rail vehicles, power distribution, low- and high-voltage installations, control systems or electrical connections is an advantage, as is familiarity with the standards and certification requirements of the railway industry.

You communicate confidently in English. But also German, Spanish, Polish or French would be an additional advantage.

But experience and technical knowledge are only part of what matters.
