Are you ready to take analytical project leadership to the next level and make a direct impact on early- and late-stage drug development projects? We are looking for experienced Analytical Project Managers to join the CMC Analytical Project Office and strengthen our diverse development portfolio across drug substances, injectable and oral drug product development. In this role, you will combine project management expertise with strong analytical development insight to set direction, drive alignment and lead cross-functional collaboration across technology platforms, molecule types and project phases. 

We are looking for one candidate with a small molecule background and one with experience in proteins/peptides and/or synthetic peptides. Your new role

You will be a member of the CMC Project Core Team, where you will set direction for analytical development activities within your area of expertise, drive alignment across stakeholders and ensure timely, high-quality deliveries across complex development projects. For each project, you will be supported by a sub-team of subject matter experts in our area.  

You will interact with a wide variety of stakeholders such as analytical departments, other CMC project managers, Research, pilot plants, Global Manufacturing & Supply, Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs.  

As Senior Analytical Project Manager, you will be responsible for:  

• Overseeing project management of analytical development, characterization activities and analytical strategies related to drug substance and drug product. 

• Guiding projects through different stages of clinical development in collaboration with internal stakeholders and contract manufacturers. 

• Leading the analytical project team in a compelling and inspiring manner, including setting direction for the development of regulatory applications and various internal and external documents. 

• Coordinating the transfer of analytical methods from our research unit to CMC Development and subsequently to our manufacturing unit, Global Manufacturing & Supply, or to a contract manufacturer.

Your skills & qualifications  

Your contribution to our department and to Novo Nordisk will be valuable due to your:  

• A relevant academic degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or a related field. 
• Extensive experience in leading analytical activities in early- and/or late-phase clinical development.

• Scientific expertise within analytical development for drug substance and/or drug product. 

• Experience working with one or more or the following: proteins/peptides, synthetic peptides or small molecules.

• Regulatory submission experience and ideally experience in working with Contract Manufacturing Organisations (CMOs). 

• Proficiency in English at a professional level.

CMC Development's role in Novo Nordisk's value chain is to turn molecules into approved products in close cooperation with our colleagues in R&ED, Development and Global Manufacturing and Supply.

The Analytical Project Office department is part of the business area CMC Analysis & Characterisation and currently consists of 23 experienced Project Managers with strong scientific and project management backgrounds and 3 Regulatory Writers. Together, we provide analytical project management and regulatory writing support to development projects in CMC Development, helping ensure timely project execution and strong cross-functional collaboration.

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 742.600 to 1.091.600, corresponding to the level of the position. The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.

Incentives and Benefits:   The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
