Your New Role

As Senior Project Manager in R&D Consumer Research, you will help integrate consumer understanding into drug development across our R&D portfolio.

You will work with multidisciplinary project teams to identify where consumer evidence can strengthen key development decisions and define the research needed to address them. Your work supports different stages of drug development, from early exploration and innovation through clinical development, launch preparation and lifecycle management.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Facilitating consumer research across drug development projects and portfolio areas
• Identifying critical consumer questions and developing research and learning plans linked to key development decisions
• Contributing to designing qualitative, quantitative and mixed-method research using fit-for-purpose methodologies
• Generating deep understanding of consumer needs, wants, behaviours and treatment expectations
• Translating findings into actionable recommendations for drug development, innovation and portfolio decisions

In addition, you will support early innovation activities, analyse and communicate complex research findings, collaborate across R&D and partner functions, manage external vendors, and contribute to the development of consumer research methodologies and standards. You will have a high degree of independence and the opportunity to influence strategically important projects and portfolio decisions.

The position is anchored in R&D Consumer Research in Experimental and Translational Medicine at Søborg in Denmark. The Consumer Research team works to systematically integrate consumer understanding into drug development and portfolio decision-making. We partner across R&D and with relevant functions across Novo Nordisk to facilitate consumer evidence generation that complements clinical and commercial perspectives and helps inform the development of future medicines and treatment solutions.

Your Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for an experienced consumer research and innovation professional who combines deep expertise in understanding consumer needs, wants and behaviours with a strong track record of translating that understanding into innovation and development decisions.

To succeed in this role, we expect you to have:

• A Master’s degree or higher in consumer science, behavioural science, psychology, anthropology, sociology, human factors, design research, health sciences or another relevant field
• 7+ years of relevant experience applying consumer research, consumer science or behavioural insights to innovation, product development or portfolio decisions
• Strong expertise across qualitative and quantitative consumer research methodologies
• Experience working in an R&D, innovation or product development environment
• Strong stakeholder-management, communication, analytical and strategic-thinking capabilities

Experience from pharmaceutical R&D, consumer health, medical devices or another health-related development environment would be an advantage . We are equally interested in candidates from consumer-led R&D and innovation environments, such as FMCG/CPG, food and beverage or personal care.

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 742,600 to 1,091,600 DKK (DK), corresponding to the level of the position. The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.

Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
