About the Position
As Senior Sales Manager, you will be accountable for driving sales growth, achieving targeted contribution margin (CM%), leading a regional sales team, and ensuring sales activities are aligned with VIKING's business objectives.

You will play a key role in developing and executing sales strategies, strengthening customer relationships, growing market share, and supporting the continued success of VIKING's Commercial Shipping business across multiple markets.

Based in the UAE, you will be instrumental in shaping the future growth of VIKING's Commercial Shipping business.

Primary Tasks

• Lead, monitor, and manage a sales organisation spanning multiple geographies and market segments, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regional growth strategies.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities while strengthening VIKING's position within the maritime and commercial shipping sectors.
• Develop and implement sales strategies, including the promotion of VIKING's service offerings, products, spare parts, and sales concepts, to achieve revenue, market share, and profitability targets.
• Build, maintain, and develop strong relationships with key customers, strategic partners, ship owners, ship managers, and other industry stakeholders to ensure long-term business success. Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth, profitability, and market share.
• Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and support strategic decision-making..
• Manage sales budgets, forecasting, pricing strategies, and performance targets.
• Monitor KPIs and sales performance through CRM and sales analytics tools, implementing corrective actions where required.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term customer retention.
• Drive and develop the sale of products, services, and spare parts directly and through VIKING partner stations and distribution networks.
• Ensure compliance with VIKING global policies, local regulations, and business standards.

Sales Operations & Performance Management

• Oversee sales budgeting, forecasting, pricing strategies, and commercial planning activities to ensure revenue, market share, contribution margin, and profitability objectives are achieved.
• Monitor sales performance against KPIs and business targets, implementing corrective actions and improvement initiatives where necessary.
• Maintain and utilise CRM systems, sales analytics, and business intelligence tools to monitor performance, track KPIs, analyse trends, and guide team actions.
• Develop accurate pipeline management and forecasting processes to support business planning and growth objectives.
• Ensure compliance with VIKING global policies, local regulations, and commercial governance requirements.

Team Leadership

• Lead, coach, and develop a regional sales team to achieve high levels of performance.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer focus.
• Support talent development and succession planning within the sales organisation.
• Lead by example and represent VIKING's values in all customer and employee interactions..

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Maritime Studies, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive sales experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role within a national or regional sales environment.
• Proven track record of delivering business growth and commercial targets.
• Strong leadership, communication, and relationship management skills.
• Proficiency in CRM systems, Power BI, and sales analytics tools.
• Maritime, marine safety, offshore, or related industry experience is highly desirable.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required
• Experience with SAP is preferred
