We build, own, and evolve the systems that translate user intent and product interaction into measurable, trustworthy value for our B2B partners. This includes advertiser-facing products, affiliate tracking and attribution systems, and data platforms that power insights, optimization, and decision-making. Our work directly impacts:

This team works closely with the commercial side of the business with a strong engineering mindset, actively experimenting with new monetization models, data products, and insights to unlock additional growth. We build long-lived systems where correctness, scalability, and thoughtful architecture are foundational — enabling the business to move fast without compromising trust or quality. As a Backend Engineer in the Monetization team, you'll co-own GoWish's affiliate tracking and attribution platform together with our Senior Backend Engineer. The systems you build are deeply embedded in how the company makes money, and the decisions made here have real, visible impact. You will be a co-owner of the backend systems that power: GoWish's affiliate tracking and attribution platform The Advertiser Panel used by our B2B partners DataHub APIs that expose trusted insights to internal teams and external partners This is a true ownership role. Together with our Senior Backend Engineer, you'll take responsibility not only for application logic, but also for the entire infrastructure lifecycle — from architecture and deployment to monitoring, scaling, and long-term reliability. You'll work as a true peer on the team: shipping features end-to-end, shaping technical direction in your domains, and growing into deeper ownership as the systems and team evolve. Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and operate scalable backend services using Node.js and TypeScript, capable of handling millions of clicks a day.
• Co-own and evolve core parts of the affiliate tracking, attribution, deduplication, and reconciliation systems, where correctness and traceability are non-negotiable.
• Contribute to rebuilding and modernizing the backend for our Advertiser Panel and its statistics and insights APIs.
• Build and maintain DataHub APIs that expose analytical insights to internal teams and external partners.
• Take ownership of services end-to-end, including architecture, infrastructure, deployments, monitoring, scaling, and reliability, using cloud-native and containerized approaches on GCP.
• Work closely with data engineers to align on data contracts, latency expectations, and correctness guarantees.
• Participate actively in architectural discussions, code reviews, and technical roadmap planning.

What We’re Looking For 🌟 We imagine that you have:

• 3–5+ years of experience building and owning backend systems in production
• Proven experience taking responsibility for both backend services and the infrastructure they run on
• Hands-on experience with the Google Cloud Platform stack
• Strong experience with TypeScript (or a clear path from another typed language and the appetite to lean in fast)
• Solid understanding of SQL databases and data-heavy backend systems
• Experience designing and operating event-driven or distributed systems
• A strong ownership mindset with a high bar for reliability, correctness, and clarity — and the humility to ask for help and share credit
• Commercial awareness — you care about the business impact of what you ship, not just the code
• Comfort operating in a scale-up environment where ambiguity is normal and process is light

It is further seen as an advantage to have experience with:

• Affiliate tracking, attribution, or click-stream systems (a strong bonus)
• Node.js and NestJS specifically
• Performance optimization in high-throughput or high-integrity systems
• Exposing analytical data through APIs
