We are currently searching for a talented graduate with a clear ambition to build a career in strategy consulting and private equity (PE).

At PwC Strategy& Deals, we focus on commercial due diligence (buy- and sell-side), market studies, strategy development and value creation for PE clients and their portfolio companies. We are looking for candidates who share our strong passion for these areas, to join our ring-fenced Strategy& Deals team.

Based in Copenhagen, our Denmark Strategy& Deals team works closely with leading Nordic and European PE funds. We frequently collaborate and cross-staff with other Nordic and international Strategy& Deals teams, leveraging sector expertise and functional knowledge according to the needs of each client engagement.

Role and expectations
As an Associate in Strategy& Deals, you will play a key role in the execution of projects, helping to solve strategic issues for our clients. Among other things, you will:

• Drive your own workstreams within the context of a wider project
• Assist in formulating key hypotheses
• Break down, structure and solve challenging quantitative and qualitative problems
• Develop and communicate recommendations to clients
• Establish trust-based relationships with clients

Qualifications and capabilities
Educational Preferences:

• A relevant master’s degree (in, e.g., business administration or finance) or, alternatively, a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience (i.e., exposure to transactions in a strategy consulting, investment banking, private equity and/or venture capital setting) after completing your bachelor’s degree
• Excellent academic performance

Preferred Knowledge / Skills:

The candidate is expected to demonstrate the following characteristics and /or proven record of success through experience and/or coursework in the following areas:

• Demonstrated interest in transactions, M&A and private equity, through coursework and/or work experience
• Excellent ability to break down, structure and solve challenging quantitative and qualitative problems
• Strong ability to communicate complex material effectively in written and oral formats to diverse audiences, including senior client leadership
• Strong ability to lead own work and collaborate effectively within the project team
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment with a steep learning curve
• Comfort with change and ambiguity
• Experience using the Microsoft Office suite of applications, i.e., Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Experience with transactions from, e.g., internships or other positions in strategy consulting, investment banking, private equity or venture capital is a strong asset

Preferred Language Capabilities:

• Ability to communicate effectively in English is required
• Ability to communicate effectively in Danish or another Scandinavian language is a strong asset
