Student Analyst

Are you looking to develop your analytical skills in a commercial environment? We are looking for two students to join our team as Student Analysts – whether you are motivated by understanding commercial decision‑making or curious about applying and developing data analysis skills in practice.

Drive meaningful change

The German Portfolio Management team is responsible for introducing the right products to the market, ensuring that products are purchased from the best trades, that the purchased stock is efficiently allocated and sold with the highest possible profit. As a Student Analyst, you will be working alongside fellow students and full-time employees alike, across the Portfolio Management team.

You will join a group of students with multiple areas of responsibility – meaning that you will have different tasks during your workday that are essential to improving and maintaining our position in the German market:

• Analysing market demand, competitors, and product performance to support successful product launches

• Turning data into actionable insights that support commercial decisions

• Contributing to the management of German insurance contracts

• Identifying opportunities for process optimisation and automation within your own area of responsibility, and contributing to improvement initiatives across the team

• Working proactively in a dynamic, learning‑focused environment

Your Profile

We expect you to be self‑driven and to have the maturity to take ownership and handle challenges with a can‑do attitude. You thrive in a dynamic environment, bring a curious and analytical mindset, and take a structured approach to complex problems.

As we are looking for two students to join the team, who ideally are:

• Studying a Data & Analytics- or Commercial degree, e.g. Economics, Business Administration, International Business, Finance, or similar

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree or have at least 2 years left of your studies

• Fluent in English and German skills are an advantage

In addition, you:

• Bring strong Microsoft Excel skills

• Experience with Python, SQL, Power BI or other analytical tools is considered a plus, but not required

• Are comfortable working with data and translating analyses into insights that support commercial decisions

• Have a solid commercial understanding and are eager to learn

• Have an eye for detail
