QA engineer - Post-Trade Delivery II

You will join our Post-Trade Program where you will be working with a newly established Post Trade Harmonization Initiative. The program has been initiated to tackle the Post Trade Harmonization requirements and provide the best future solutions for our member banks, enabling them to make quality decisions and stay compliant.

The QA Engineer role offers an opportunity to work with securing Post Trade Harmonization for our member banks. The team consists of several dedicated members split between Denmark and Poland.

Primary tasks and responsibilities include:

• Quality Leadership:
  Serve as the primary driver of testing and quality within the team, crafting a clear vision and strategy for testing and ensuring its successful implementation.
• Test Automation Growth Path:
  The role is primarily focused on manual testing initially, with a gradual transition towards automation. Over time, the candidate is expected to contribute to test automation, moving from approximately 100% manual testing toward a balanced mix of manual and automated testing (around 30–50% automation), while learning and applying automation best practices.
• Collaboration:
  Work closely with team members and the company’s QA service team to adopt best practices, streamline processes, and initiate automation projects.

To succeed you will have:

• Core QA Competencies:
  Ability to analyze complex end-to-end flows across multiple integrated systems and select an appropriate testing approach, manage defects end-to-end, advocate quality across the SDLC, and clearly communicate quality risks and results to technical and business stakeholders.
• Functional Testing Knowledge:
  Solid understanding of key non-functional test types (e.g., performance, reliability, security) and ability to identify when they should be applied based on system context and risk.

• Test management tools:
  Hands-on experience with test management tools (e.g., Xray or similar)
• MQ & Message/Data Validation:
  Ability to work with message queues (IMB MQ), understand message flows, read and validate XML and JSON payloads, interpret schemas (XSD/JSON Schema), and test different data structures and variations in message-based integrations.
• Automation Testing Tools:
  Experience with Playwright preferred. Alternatively, Cypress or any similar tool.
• API Testing tools:
  Practical experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured, SoapUI, Bruno), including validation of request/response structures and error handling.
• Programming Languages:
  Familiarity with Typescript and Java is desirable; however, experience with other programming languages is also acceptable.
• Log Analysis
  : Ability to analyze application and system logs to support defect investigation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• AI Tools:
  Willingness to learn and apply AI-based tools to enhance testing effectiveness and support test automation.
• Self-motivated and structured:
  You can organize and drive the testing agenda, good at communication, helps team to clarify requirements (towards an ATDD set-up).
• ISTQB Foundation
  certificate

It’s nice-to-have:

• Domain knowledge
  : Familiarity with investment products, trade lifecycle, and settlement processes.
• CI/CD Expertise:
  Working knowledge of CI/CD tools and processes, including basic integration of testing into CI/CD pipelines.
