Academic Consultant (AC-TAP) - Reporting and Communication at the LEO Foundation Skin Immunology Research Center

We are looking for a highly motivated and independent Academic Consultant to support our efforts at the LEO Foundation Skin Immunology Research Center (SIC) commencing 15 October 2026 or as soon as possible hereafter.

Our research

SIC is dedicated to improving understanding, preventing and treating skin diseases affecting a quarter of the world’s population.

Anchored at the Department of Immunology and Microbiology (ISIM) at the University of Copenhagen, SIC brings together Danish and international researchers to explore and uncover the complex mechanisms behind skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema, and other chronic skin disorders.

Supported by the LEO Foundation, SIC uses cutting-edge technologies and collaborates closely with hospitals and research institutions to ensure that discoveries contribute to improved understanding and treatment of skin diseases.

Your job

You will support the Center Management in the coordination, documentation and communication of SIC’s activities. The position requires a high degree of independence and the ability to work across reporting, analytical and communication-related tasks.

Your tasks will include:

• Support data collection and maintain relevant documentation for reporting.
• Prepare KPI reports and contribute to the LEO Foundation annual reporting in accordance with the annual cycle of the Center.
• Prepare data, background material and other input for Management decision-making.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of the Center’s communication activities.
• Take responsibility for content, structure and ongoing development of the Center’s website.
• Plan, produce and publish content for LinkedIn and other relevant communication channels.
• Produce research communication, including news stories, researcher profiles, cases and communication of scientific results.

Profile

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Academic Consultant with the following competencies and experience:

Essential experience and skills

• Experience with research reporting, data collection and documentation.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage several tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong writing skills and the ability to communicate complex scientific topics clearly and precisely.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for tasks from planning to completion.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with researchers, management and administrative colleagues.
• Experience working with digital communication channels.

Desirable experience and skills

• Experience with ResearchFish or comparable research reporting systems.
• Experience with research communication.
• Experience with website editing and content management.
• Experience producing content for LinkedIn or other professional social media channels.
• Experience working in a university, research institution or other knowledge-intensive organisation.
• Experience with SurveyXact or similar survey tools.
• Good Danish language skills.

Place of employment

The place of employment is at the Department of Immunology and Microbiology, University of Copenhagen (). We offer creative and stimulating working conditions in dynamic and international research environment.

Terms of employment

The average weekly working hours are 25 hours per week (negotiable).

The position is a fixed-term position expiring on 31 December 2028.

Employment will be in accordance with the provisions of the collective agreement between the Danish Ministry of Taxation and AC (the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations). The monthly salary will be based on the number of years of work experience (seniority) with the possibility to negotiate a salary supplement based on prior experience and qualifications. The employer will pay an additional 18,03 % to your pension fund.
