Technical Business Analyst - Data & Analytics

You will join our Accounting Data & Monitoring team In Reporting Solutions domain. We build and runs solutions that ensure accurate, reliable, and traceable accounting data across financial systems and reporting processes.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of BEC’s data transformation, using modern technologies like Azure, Databricks, and event-driven architectures to build scalable data products. You will join a high-performing, cross-functional team working on business-critical accounting and reporting data used by the financial sector, combining strong engineering practices with real impact.

Your direct manager will be Hozan Ibrahim.

Primary task and responsibilities include:

• Explore and analyse complex accounting datasets to identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement in financial processes
• Collaborate closely with data engineers and business analysts to ensure high-quality, reliable, and well-governed data foundations
• Build analytical data products and models that support regulatory reporting and decision-making across the financial domain
• Work with Databricks, Python, and SQL to develop scalable data science solutions on modern data platforms
• Translate business and accounting requirements into analytical use cases and communicate insights to stakeholders
• Contribute to continuous improvement of data quality, traceability, and governance within accounting data

To succeed you will have:

• Experience as a Technical Business Analyst or in a similar analytical role working with complex data domains
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, with experience in data analysis, modelling, and optimisation
• Solid understanding of statistics and machine learning, with the ability to apply methods to real business and accounting problems
• Experience working with large datasets in modern platforms such as Databricks or Spark
• Understanding of data modelling concepts and data governance principles, preferably within financial or accounting domains
• Experience working in agile setups (Scrum / SAFe)
• A curious, analytical, and collaborative mindset, with a focus on delivering business value from data
• Fluency in English, written and spoken

It’s nice-to-have:

• Experience with accounting, financial, or regulatory data domains
• Experience with data quality, or data governance frameworks
• Knowledge of Data Vault or regulatory data modelling
• understanding of event-driven or streaming data (e.g. Kafka) in a data platform setup
