We're looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join our Product & Engineering team. HOW WE WORK

At Neurons, we believe success comes from empowered engineers solving customer problems directly. We continuously optimize our team structure and processes to support this mindset. Our SDLC evolves constantly. Rather than sticking to a rigid framework, we adopt what works for the current situation and discard what doesn't. We follow the core tenets of Shape Up, giving engineers the context and focus to achieve ambitious goals in 6-week cycles. For each cycle, small teams (2–3 engineers) form to tackle specific features or problems. Each cycle is followed by a 2–3 week cooldown focused on technical debt, bugs, learning, and platform enhancements—ensuring a healthy balance between new features, continuous improvement, and long-term stability.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DRIVING

BUILD FEATURES ACROSS THE PLATFORM

You'll contribute to both backend and frontend development, working alongside experienced engineers to build features that deliver real value to our customers. From APIs to user interfaces, you'll have the opportunity to work across the full stack and learn how our platform scales. What helps you succeed:

• Experience with Python (ideally Django or FastAPI) or a willingness to learn.
• Some experience with TypeScript and React through work, studies, or personal projects.
• A genuine interest in building products that customers love.

DELIVER CUSTOMER VALUE

Working closely with product, design, and engineering, you'll help turn ideas into working software. You'll contribute to features from concept to deployment while developing your technical skills along the way. What helps you succeed:

WRITE QUALITY CODE

THE EXPERIENCE THAT HELPS YOU SUCCEED

While there's no single "perfect" background, we think the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

• 0–2 years of professional experience, internships, university projects, or personal projects building web applications.
• Experience with Python (Django or FastAPI is a plus), or a strong desire to learn.
• Familiarity with TypeScript, React, or another modern frontend framework.
• A solid understanding of software development fundamentals, including APIs, Git, databases, and object-oriented programming.
• An eagerness to learn modern engineering practices such as testing, CI/CD, and cloud-based development.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset—you enjoy working closely with others and learning from experienced teammates.
• A curious mindset—you enjoy learning new technologies, understanding customer problems, and continuously improving your skills.
