Senior Legal Counsel - Sweden, Denmark & Iceland

Senior Legal Counsel position supporting AbbVie's business across Sweden, Denmark, and Iceland. The role provides country-level legal guidance on pharmaceutical, commercial, and regulatory matters while serving as a strategic partner to regional leadership and management teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal counsel on market access, competition law, procurement, pharmaceutical regulations, and commercial agreements
- Negotiate and prepare diverse agreements; represent company externally to stakeholders and government agencies
- Monitor regulatory and external environment changes; drive legal strategy in cross-functional forums including MLOR meetings
- Develop legal training, practical tools, and checklists for business teams; oversee external counsel work as needed
- Support AbbVie objectives within industry legal committees and contribute to broader business strategy discussions
Requirements
- Lawyer qualified in Sweden or Denmark with law degree
- Minimum 6 years professional legal experience, preferably international
- Experience supporting senior business leaders in complex legal matters
- Deep knowledge of Scandinavian market dynamics and cultural context
- Strong prioritization, communication, and people management capabilities
- Fluent in English; based in Sweden with travel availability
- Solution-oriented mindset with proactive problem-solving approach
