BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE, AARHUS

ABOUT THE ROLE

Help grow athme in Aarhus by building relationships with existing sports communities and supporting them in bringing their activities onto the platform. You will be athme’s local representative in Aarhus, working with sports organizers, student communities, clubs, companies, and players. Although the role is based locally, you will work closely with our founding team in Denmark. You will receive a proven playbook, clear weekly priorities, outreach materials, regular check-ins, and ongoing support. You are not expected to enter the market alone or develop the strategy from scratch. Your responsibility is to execute and adapt an existing approach while helping us understand what works best in Aarhus.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Identify and connect with sports clubs, student organizations, informal groups, universities, and companies in Aarhus
• Build relationships with organizers, hosts, and community leaders
• Introduce communities to athme and show how the platform can support their activities
• Help onboard organizers, events, and entire communities onto the platform
• Support existing partners in running recurring activities and growing participation
• Attend relevant events, campuses, sports venues, and community meetups
• Follow and execute athme’s local business development playbook
• Work closely with the wider team on priorities, outreach, and follow-ups
• Share insights about the Aarhus market and identify new partnership opportunities
• Collect feedback from organizers and players to improve the product and local experience

Success is not about transforming the Aarhus market overnight. It is about consistently building relationships and creating measurable progress with support from the wider team. Over time, this means:

• You enjoy sports, meeting people, and building relationships
• You are comfortable approaching organizers and starting conversations
• You are structured and follow through on what you start
• You are proactive, curious, and willing to learn by doing
• You can take ownership while also asking for support when needed
• You are business-minded but natural and approachable
• You have been involved in student organizations, volunteering, sports teams, events, or community initiatives
• You actively play or follow sports such as football, padel, volleyball, fitness, running, or similar
• You are a student living in Aarhus

SUPPORT AND ONBOARDING

You will not be left alone to figure out how to grow athme in Aarhus. From the beginning, you will receive:

You will have real responsibility, but always with clear direction and support.

INTERNSHIP STRUCTURE AND GROWTH OPPORTUNITY

The position begins with a one-to-three-month unpaid internship, depending on performance and progress. During this period, you will work closely with the athme team and gain hands-on experience in business development, partnerships, community growth, and marketplace operations. If the collaboration is a strong mutual fit and you demonstrate reliability, initiative, and measurable progress, the role can continue as a paid student assistant position.
