Purpose of the Job
We are offering four temporary (12 months) full-time opportunities within our Payment Operations team for the role of Payment Operations Specialist. The positions are based at our Hyllie office.
In this role, you will be responsible for processing and executing incoming and outgoing payments in a customer-focused and timely manner. You will monitor payment files, manage reconciliations, and collaborate closely with both internal and external stakeholders to resolve payment-related inquiries.
The role plays a crucial part in ensuring a seamless customer journey, reducing operational risks, and driving continuous improvements within the payments function.
As part of this recruitment, we aim to strengthen specific market competences within the team to ensure resilience, continuity, and long-term operational stability.
Responsibilities of the Job
- Process incoming and outgoing payments for customers and partners
- Perform daily account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies to support accurate and timely month-end closing
- Review and resolve unclear or unmatched payments and escalate challenges where needed
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across countries and departments (e.g., Customer Support, Collections, Accounting, AML) to investigate and solve payment-related issues
- Communicate with external partners to clarify and resolve payment matters
- Monitor payment file processing and escalate potential issues
- Manage incidents by raising tickets, tracking progress, and ensuring timely resolution
- Oversee shared team inboxes and communication channels
- Identify and propose improvements to processes, tools, and infrastructure with a focus on compliance, risk mitigation, efficiency, and automation
- Complete required internal controls accurately and within specified deadlines
Education Level
Bachelor's Degree
Experience/Demonstrated Competencies
- Demonstrated experience working independently processing incoming and outgoing payments within Factoring or at least one B2C market
- Previous experiencing handling reconciliations, book-keeping, as well as supporting month-end closing activities
- Proven experience handling payments-related investigations
Language Competencies
Fluency in English and Swedish is Required. Additional European language skills connected to our markets is highly valued.
Knowledge required
- Strong operational understanding of local payment flows, market-specific deviations, and customer behaviors relevant to identified team competence needs
- Able to fully comprehend internal controls, audit requirements, and associated documentation standards within payment operations
Capabilities for this job
- Demonstrates excellent service and communication skills
- Has strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Capable of working confidently in the Microsoft Office Packages, particularly Excel, as well as in payment-related software systems such as iCard, TCS Banks, Ascent, Business Central, etc.
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
