Product Designer, NINE

NINE is looking for a curious and creative Product Designer to help shape original, long-lasting products within furniture, lighting and objects. If you enjoy combining strong aesthetics with thoughtful functionality and have an eye for detail, you might be who we are looking for. You will join a small team that is part of an international, design-driven company with a strong focus on craftsmanship, quality and responsible business.

THE ROLE
We are looking for a Product Designer to develop and shape our product collection. This is a hands-on role with ownership of design direction, product expression, and materiality from concept through to production.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and develop furniture and product concepts aligned with NINE’s design direction
• Create CAD models and technical drawings
• Define and drive materials, colours, and finishes (CMF)
• Own material consistency and product expression across the collection
• Contribute to evolving NINE’s design language
• Support prototype development and refinement
• Work closely with category buyer to ensure designs are translated correctly into production
  
  

DESIGN DIRECTION & MATERIAL OWNERSHIP

• Take ownership of materiality across the collection
• Ensure consistency in CMF and product expression
• Balance aesthetic ambition with production reality and cost
• Translate brand direction into clear product decisions
  
  

ABOUT YOU

• 3–8 years experience in furniture or product design
• Strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes
• Strong sensitivity to color, materiality, and product character
• Skilled in CAD (SolidWorks, Rhino or similar)
• Hands-on, structured, and pragmatic
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving, lean environment
