Product Assurance Manager - Safeguarding Quality for Space Missions

Do you want to play a central role in safeguarding product integrity, mission success, and compliance across the full lifecycle of advanced space systems? We are looking for a Product Assurance Manager to lead and support product assurance activities across our satellite and space projects—from early sales involvement to final delivery and post-production support.

Your Role
You’ll work in our Quality department , where you will be responsible for product assurance activities across projects typically running from 1 to 2.5 years. You will be involved throughout the full project lifecycle—from early customer dialogue and project initiation to execution, delivery, and follow-up.

You will work closely with project teams consisting of systems engineers, software engineers, mechanical and electrical engineers, manufacturing, assembly and integration specialists, RF engineers, and satellite operations colleagues. As Product Assurance Manager, you will provide independent oversight of quality and product assurance activities, ensure compliance with customer requirements and internal standards, and act as a key interface between customers, suppliers, and internal teams.

Your tasks include:

• Defining and leading Product Assurance and Quality Assurance activities across projects
• Writing and maintaining PA plans and supporting project management plans
• Managing non-conformances, deviations, waivers, corrective actions, and risk-related activities
• Ensuring compliance with customer requirements, ECSS Q-standards, and the GomSpace Management System
• Supporting milestone readiness, reporting, supplier quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives

Short- and Long-Term Success
In the first 6–12 months , success means:

• Establishing clear overview and ownership of PA/QA activities across assigned projects
• Delivering structured PA reporting, milestone support, and timely handling of non-conformances and risks
• Building strong collaboration with project teams, customers, and suppliers while ensuring compliance and transparency

Longer term , you’ll take ownership of driving robust and scalable product assurance practices across multiple projects, strengthening quality maturity in the business unit, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our management system and project assurance processes.

What You Bring
You’re an experienced Product Assurance professional with a strong quality mindset and the confidence to work independently in technically complex and highly regulated project environments. You combine structure and analytical thinking with strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-changing New Space context.

You likely:

• Hold a relevant engineering degree and have several years of experience in product assurance, preferably from space or similarly regulated industries
• Are confident working with compliance, risk management, non-conformance handling, and customer-facing quality reporting
• Understand how product assurance supports design, manufacturing, testing, supplier quality, and project execution across the full lifecycle
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
• Thrive on creating structure, transparency, and quality in technically demanding project environments

The primary workplace will ideally be at our premises at Langagervej 6, Aalborg, Denmark, but it can also be at our office in Luxembourg. Salary and start date will be individually negotiated.
