Business System Consultant

We're looking for an experienced Business System Consultant to take ownership of the technical solution throughout client engagements – from understanding business requirements and designing the solution to configuration, implementation and delivery.

You'll work closely with customers and our Project Management Consultants, while collaborating with Software Development (ASYS), Product Management, Sales and our subsidiaries to ensure that solutions are practical, scalable and delivered with high quality.

As Business System Consultant, you'll own the technical solution throughout the client engagement. You will work alongside a Project Management Consultant, who owns the client relationship, project scope, plan and delivery. Your role is to understand the customer's business processes and requirements, translate them into the right solution and take responsibility for configuring, building and validating the system. You'll act as a product and business process expert, advising customers and colleagues on what is possible, what fits the requirement and where there are relevant trade-offs. You will also engage directly with the customer's business teams where the implementation requires operational involvement, helping ensure that the solution works in their day-to-day processes and delivers the intended value.

Success means high-quality solutions, efficient implementation, clear technical decisions and customers who are able to use and benefit from the solution in practice.

What you'll be doing

• Translate agreed customer requirements and business processes into effective solution designs.

• Configure and build Autorola software solutions to meet customer needs.

• Own technical solution decisions and ensure that solutions are scalable, accurate and aligned with product capabilities.

• Work closely with the Project Management Consultant when scoping new engagements, including estimating technical effort and identifying solution risks.

• Act as a product and business process expert, advising customers and colleagues on available functionality, possible solutions and relevant trade-offs.

• Engage directly with customer business teams where the implementation requires operational involvement.

• Map customer requirements into standard system functionality and identify where new development is required.

• Work with Product Management and Software Development (ASYS) to define and clarify enhancement and development requirements.

• Own the quality of the configuration and build, including testing and validation of the solution.

• Use templates, standards and best practices to deliver solutions efficiently and consistently.

• Support Project Management Consultants with technical and solution input throughout the engagement.

• Share lessons learned and contribute to improving templates, standards and ways of working across Autorola Solutions.

Who are we looking for

We're looking for an experienced Business System Consultant who combines strong business understanding with technical curiosity and a structured approach to solving customer challenges.

You likely have:

• Proven experience in business process consultancy, system implementation, solution consulting or a similar client-facing role, ideally within the software industry.

• Strong experience translating business requirements into practical system solutions.

• Experience with system configuration, implementation and solution design, with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.

• The ability to understand complex business processes and determine how they can best be supported by software.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with good product and domain understanding.

• The ability to communicate confidently with both business and technical stakeholders.

• Experience working directly with customers and engaging with their business teams.

• A structured, proactive and collaborative approach to working alongside Project Management, Software Development and other functions.

• The ability to balance customer-specific requirements with standard functionality, scalability and maintainability.

• A willingness to travel internationally for customer engagements when required.

Experience with software implementation, IT consulting, Agile environments or the automotive industry is an advantage.

Within your first 12–18 months, you'll have:

• Built strong relationships with customers and become a trusted advisor on their business processes and system solutions.

• Successfully designed, configured and delivered high-quality solutions that meet customer requirements.

• Established a strong understanding of Autorola's products, processes and technical capabilities.

• Worked effectively alongside Project Management Consultants to scope and deliver predictable customer engagements.

• Helped customers successfully adopt and use their solutions in their day-to-day business.

• Contributed to stronger solution delivery through reusable templates, standards, best practices and knowledge sharing.

• Built strong working relationships across Business System Consulting, Software Development (ASYS), Product Management, Sales and our subsidiaries.
