As Senior Data Engineer & BI Professional, you will help build the next generation of data and analytics capabilities for Clinical Supplies. You will design scalable data products on Databricks and shape a modern, AI-enabled approach to business intelligence. Your work directly supports the planning, packing and distribution of clinical trial supplies to patients in more than 50 countries, helping critical trials run smoothly and on time.

What you'll bring

We look for a strong technical foundation and the curiosity to help define what modern BI and analytics should look like in an AI-enabled world. We do not expect you to know everything.

Essential:

• A master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or a related field.

• Professional experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, business intelligence or software engineering with a data focus.

• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks.

• Experience with Python, PySpark and SQL.

• Experience designing scalable data pipelines, data models and analytical solutions.

• Experience with modern business intelligence and analytics.

• Experience working in cloud environments such as Azure, AWS or GCP.

• The ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical and analytical solutions.

Useful, but not essential:

• Databricks SQL and Databricks-based BI capabilities.

• AI-enabled analytics, conversational BI or natural-language interaction with data.

• Semantic models, metrics layers and modern self-service analytics.

• Power BI, Tableau and/or Alteryx, particularly in relation to migration or modernisation.

• Delta Lake, Apache Spark and PySpark.

• Data governance, lineage and access management.

• CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.

What you'll do

You will work at the intersection of data engineering, analytics and business intelligence, building strong technical foundations while making data more accessible and valuable for end users.

• Design and build scalable data pipelines, data products and models on Databricks.

• Help define and establish the future BI architecture and foundation on Databricks.

• Drive the transition from Alteryx, Power BI and Tableau towards Databricks-based data and analytics solutions.

• Translate business needs into scalable, intuitive and high-value BI and analytics solutions.

• Explore and implement AI-enabled BI capabilities, including conversational analytics, intelligent insights, automation and improved self-service.

• Contribute to modern standards and best practices across data engineering, BI, governance and development.

Who you'll work with

You will join the CS Digital Solutions department, part of Clinical Supplies within CMC Product and Process Development. The CMC CS area is made up of around 300 colleagues across four departments, working closely together with a shared focus on patients. In Digital Solutions, the team delivers end-to-end capabilities across data engineering, business intelligence, advanced analytics and AI-driven automation, developing and operating the data platforms that support clinical operations globally.

You will collaborate with data and analytics colleagues, business stakeholders and end users across the value chain, in a friendly and professional environment where knowledge sharing, continuous learning and experimenting with better ways of building data solutions are encouraged.

You will help shape a new data and BI landscape from the ground up, with the trust to take ownership and the support to grow your skills at the forefront of AI and analytics. You will build new capabilities through hands-on work and cross-functional collaboration, in a team that combines curiosity, clarity and ambition to create reliable data foundations and modern analytics experiences that matter for patients.

The role is offered at a total salary of DKK 651,000–956,900 Dkk. per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
