Your role and tasks
Do you have experience with service sales in the maritime industry and enjoy building long-term customer relationships? We are looking for a Sales Specialist to help grow our service business across the maritime and ports segment in Northern Europe.

In this role, you will support ship owners, ship management companies, and port operators with electrical service solutions that help improve safety, reliability, efficiency, and sustainability throughout the lifecycle of their assets. You will work closely with customers to understand their needs, identify opportunities, and connect them with ABB's broad portfolio of services and solutions.

The position covers Denmark, Sweden, Iceland, the Faroe Islands, and Greenland. You will be part of our local service organization while collaborating closely with colleagues across ABB's global maritime network. The role offers a combination of customer engagement, commercial responsibility, and opportunities to contribute to electrification and decarbonization initiatives across the industry.

Your responsibilities will include

• Build and maintain relationships with ship owners, ship management companies, ports, and other key stakeholders.
• Plan, book, and conduct customer meetings and visits across the region.
• Identify and develop opportunities within ABB's electrical service portfolio.
• Lead and coordinate service sales activities and contribute to business development initiatives.
• Prepare quotations and support the bid process in collaboration with technical and commercial colleagues.
• Present ABB service solutions and help customers improve safety, reliability, and operational performance.
• Contribute to pricing, service offering development, and market feedback in collaboration with Product Management.
• Support solution sales activities related to electrification, decarbonization, and wider maritime service opportunities.

Qualifications for the role

• Experience with service sales within the maritime and/or ports industry.
• Electrical engineering background, Marine Engineer qualification, or similar technical education.
• Understanding of maritime operations, industry regulations, decarbonization initiatives, and electrical systems.
• Experience working with customers and managing sales opportunities through the sales process.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and within an international matrix organization.
• Structured approach to planning, prioritizing, and following up on activities.
• Fluent communication skills in Danish and English.
• Swedish language skills are considered an advantage.

You will be based in Middelfart and spend much of your time meeting customers across the region. We offer flexibility and hybrid working arrangements where the role allows. The position reports to Sales Manager Jacob Lundholm.
