Senior Software Engineer, Kubernetes

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Kubernetes Operators for the Camunda SaaS offering.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and field teams to define, ship, and iterate on features across cloud and multi-region deployments.
• Improve existing codebases for security, stability, reliability, and quality.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide third-level escalation support.
• Advocate for new ideas, knowledge sharing, automation, and a pragmatic engineering culture.

Requirements

• Experience using Go or another relevant language for cloud-native software development.
• Practical experience with at least one major cloud service provider: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and a deep understanding of its core concepts.
• Ability or willingness to use the Camunda product.
• Collaborative, autonomous, and pragmatic approach to programming and problem solving.
• Experience writing and maintaining Kubernetes Operators is preferred.
• Familiarity with multi-region or multi-cloud infrastructure and Crossplane is preferred.
