The role
Do you want to shape the future of sports content through automation, AI and innovation?

We're looking for a Sports Short-Form & Automation Lead to take ownership of our automated sports highlights ecosystem and drive the next generation of short-form content across multiple markets. This is a unique opportunity to combine a passion for sports with technology, operations and AI, working cross-functionally to deliver fast, engaging and scalable content experiences.

As an individual contributor with broad influence, you'll work closely with teams across Sports, Product, Technology, Social Media and Content Curation, helping transform how sports highlights are created and delivered.

What You'll Be Doing

• Own and continuously improve Viaplay's automated highlights ecosystem
• Work closely with stakeholders across our markets to identify opportunities and solve challenges
• Lead cross-functional initiatives related to short-form content and automation
• Manage relationships with suppliers and technology partners
• Drive adoption of AI and automation across workflows and processes
• Challenge existing ways of working and identify opportunities for improvement
• Collaborate with Product and Technology teams to help shape future capabilities

What we’re looking for
We understand you may feel confident ticking certain boxes more than others and that’s why we always keep an open mind in our recruitment process. But, in order to thrive in this role, we do believe you’ll have at least some experience in the following:

• A curious, proactive and highly driven mindset, with strong ownership and initiative
• A drive to challenge assumptions and continuously improve ways of working
• The ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders, and to communicate clearly while influencing other
• A few years of experience in a fast-paced environment (e.g. consulting, operations, project management, technology, media or sports), where you’ve been trusted to drive initiatives and deliver results
• AI fluency, with active daily use of AI tools as a natural part of your workflow. Experience building AI workflows, automations or agents is a strong advantage, and you see AI as a lever to multiply impact rather than a novelty
• A mindset that balances strategic thinking with hands-on execution
• An interest in media, SoMe, technology and scalable ways of working
• A genuine passion for sports, and an understanding of why sports moments matter and why getting them to fans is important
