About the Role

As the Country Manager and Director for Marketplace, you’ll own the Denmark marketplace P&L and play a central role in shaping our next phase of growth.

Denmark is a mature and highly successful Wolt market, with strong fundamentals and significant opportunity ahead. With competition increasing and consumer behaviour evolving, our next focus is on unlocking new sources of growth, while continuing to strengthen marketplace performance and our position in the market.

You’ll set the marketplace strategy, and sit at the intersection of operations, product, marketing and customer experience — making the trade-offs that determine how well the marketplace performs today and how strong it will be tomorrow. Working closely with other senior leaders across Wolt, you’ll identify where to invest, where to change course and where the next wave of growth can come from. You’ll also play a key role in expanding Wolt into new occasions and geographies, strengthening selection and building a marketplace that continues to deliver value for our customers, merchants and couriers.

What You’ll Be Doing

Set the direction for Wolt Denmark

• Assess the market and build our long term position in the market 
• Set a clear direction for growth and profitability while maintaining the quality and customer experience that differentiate Wolt.
• Balance supply, demand, customer experience and unit economics — often when the right answer isn’t obvious.
• Identify the biggest opportunities and constraints across the marketplace and decide where Wolt should focus its energy and investment.
• Turn strategic priorities into clear plans that teams across the organisation can execute against

Own the Marketplace

• Own the P&L and overall performance of our marketplace business in Wolt Denmark, from growth and revenue to variable profit and contribution margin
• Set the priorities that move the marketplace forward improving gross order value, selection, quality, affordability and customer experience
• Run regular business reviews with our leadership teams, turning performance data into clear decisions and actions
• Balance short-term commercial opportunities with the long-term health, quality and economics of the marketplace

Lead Across Wolt

• Bring together senior leaders across Commercial, Operations, Marketing, Support, Finance and Analytics around a shared set of business priorities
• Lead decisions on investment, resources and market strategy for Denmark, influencing across teams and functions without relying on formal reporting lines
• Challenge assumptions, create alignment and make the calls needed to maintain a thriving business

Unlock the next wave of growth

• Lead initiatives that expand and strengthen the marketplace, from market development and geographic expansion to entirely new growth opportunities
• Strengthen merchant selection and commercial performance to make Wolt increasingly relevant to Danish consumers
• Build the operational capabilities required for our next phase of growth, including self-delivery.
• Find new ways to grow by becoming relevant across more daily and seasonal occasions
• Identify what works, turn it into a repeatable playbook and scale it

Bring the team together 

• Build trust across teams and bring people with you, especially when priorities compete.
• Lead our country All Hands and bring more than 350+ colleagues in Denmark together around a shared direction, ambition and purpose
• Raise the bar for how we operate — ambitious in what we want to achieve, pragmatic in how we get there and humble enough to keep learning
• Partner with our People and Workplace teams on the culture and employee experience that will help Wolt Denmark thrive

Represent Wolt in Denmark

• Partner closely with Public Affairs and Communications to strengthen Wolt’s reputation and position in Denmark
• Represent Wolt externally as Country Manager, building trusted relationships with relevant stakeholders and acting as a senior voice for the company
• Represent Wolt Denmark in relevant legal and financial matters and serve on the board of Wolt Denmark
