Would you like to help shape the global OT infrastructure foundation of an international manufacturing company undergoing a significant digital transformation?

Hartmann is looking for an experienced Infrastructure Architect to take ownership of the technical direction and governance across our global manufacturing infrastructure environments. The role will play a key part in standardizing, modernizing, and future-proofing infrastructure across factories, countries, and technology platforms, with a strong focus on manufacturing, automation enablement, and global core systems.

This is not a traditional operations role. It is a strategic and technical architecture position for someone who can define direction, establish governance, and at the same time understand the operational realities of a global manufacturing business.

The Role
As Infrastructure Architect, you will become a key member of the Digital Manufacturing team, part of Hartmann’s global IT organization and act as a trusted partner to operations, and senior IT leadership.

You will work across factories and business units with responsibility for ensuring a scalable, secure, and coherent infrastructure architecture across our global production environments.

An important part of the role will be to establish governance and common standards , enabling increased scalability, stronger data foundations, and future automation initiatives.

The role requires some international travel, and candidates should expect approximately 30-45 travel days per year to collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders across our global organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive the global OT infrastructure architecture across Hartmann’s international landscape
• Establish governance, standards, and roadmaps for OT infrastructure technologies globally
• Help build the technological foundation for future AI, data, and automation initiatives
• Ensure scalability of core systems and technology platforms across production sites
• Support digitalization, automation, and Industrial connectivity
• Define and drive OT/ICS infrastructure architecture principles across industrial networks, control systems, edge platforms, cybersecurity, and hybrid connectivity
• Act as a technical advisor and sparring partner for both central and local IT functions
• Contribute to modernization and transformation of legacy environments
• Collaborate closely with operations, engineering, manufacturing, and other IT domains

• Strong experience within enterprise infrastructure architecture
• Experience with hybrid cloud, networking, and enterprise infrastructure environments
• Experience driving governance, standardization, and global scalability initiatives
• Strong experience with manufacturing IT/OT
• Experience from larger transformation and modernization programs
• The ability to navigate between strategy, architecture, and operational execution
• A pragmatic and collaborative approach to technology and change

It is considered an advantage if you also have experience with:

• Automation and smart manufacturing
• ERP and production-related platforms
• Security and compliance in manufacturing environments
• International matrix organizations

Location
The primary workplace for this role is Hartmann’s production site in Tønder, where close collaboration with manufacturing and production-related stakeholders will be an important part of the role. Depending on your place of residence, it is also possible to work partly from Hartmann Technology in Kolding. However, regardless of location, regular presence in Tønder is expected and required, as the role involves ongoing interaction with the Digital Manufacturing team, the factory environment, production IT, and local operational stakeholders.
