AI Engineer Anthropic University Graduate

Responsibilities

• Build, test, maintain, and document AI-enabled applications, workflows, reusable accelerators, and proof-of-concept solutions.
• Develop generative AI and LLM applications, including Claude-powered applications, RAG solutions, agentic workflows, prompt and context engineering, structured outputs, tool use, and workflow orchestration.
• Support document ingestion, chunking, embeddings, retrieval, evaluation, testing, monitoring, feedback loops, and reliability improvements.
• Help implement responsible AI and security controls covering sensitive data, access, prompt injection, unsafe tool execution, human oversight, and output validation.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, design, data science, ServiceNow platform, and consulting teams on requirements, solution design, code reviews, and implementation.
• Support client-facing technical research, demonstrations, proofs of concept, and implementation activities.
• Contribute to documentation, technical playbooks, reusable components, prompt libraries, evaluation assets, Agent Packs, accelerators, and AI innovation research.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience through internships, co-ops, research, freelance work, academic projects, or professional roles.
• Experience with one or more programming languages, preferably Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or similar.
• Foundational understanding of software engineering, APIs, databases, source control, and cloud-based applications.
• Exposure to generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, machine learning, data science, or automation concepts.
• Familiarity with context windows, token usage, embeddings, vector search, RAG, tool use or function calling, structured outputs, and model evaluation.
• Familiarity with Git, REST APIs, SQL, Docker, LLM APIs, LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or cloud AI services.
• Foundational understanding of responsible AI, data privacy, model limitations, human oversight, and safe AI deployment.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders, with strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
• Preferred experience includes AI, automation, chatbot, workflow-based, or data-driven projects; Claude or Anthropic API exposure; LLM application development; RAG and agent design; ServiceNow; AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud; Model Context Protocol; secure API integration; and agile software development.
