SAP Automation Engineer (GUI Scripting / VBA) - Contract - Remote

I’m currently looking for several Mid-level to Senior Automation Engineers for a project with CLIENT’s Model Production Digital team , and your background looked potentially relevant.
The team supports the digital ecosystem used in CLIENT’s physical model production. A key part of the role is working with a portfolio of Excel/VBA tools that automate SAP processes through SAP GUI Scripting .
As CLIENT moves from SAP ECC to S/4HANA , these tools need to be reverse-engineered, adapted or reimplemented so they continue to support critical manufacturing processes such as:
• Production scheduling
• BOM uploads
• Capacity management
• Production order follow-up
The strongest fit would have experience with:
• Advanced Excel VBA – including large or inherited/undocumented macros
• SAP GUI Scripting with VBA / SAP process automation
• SAP ECC / S/4HANA within a manufacturing or production environment
• SQL Server / T-SQL and ideally MS Access
• Working directly with business users to understand and reverse-engineer processes
Experience with Power Query, Git/GitHub, SharePoint, Azure or RPA/SAP automation would also be useful.
We are looking for both strong hands-on engineers and potentially one Senior/Lead profile who can still code but also help coordinate the work and knowledge sharing.
Contract: Until end of 2026 + extensions
Start: ASAP
Location: near shore Europe
