Ambu is on an exciting digital transformation journey, investing heavily in our Enterprise Data Platform to strengthen data-driven decision-making across the business. We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics team at our headquarters in Denmark and play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining enterprise-scale data solutions.
Working with modern Microsoft technologies and cloud-based solutions on Azure, you will collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, system managers, and fellow data professionals to deliver impactful solutions that support critical business processes across our global organization.
This is a unique opportunity to combine your software engineering background with data engineering expertise while contributing to innovative healthcare solutions that improve patient care worldwide.
The role
As a Data Engineer, you will be involved in the design, development and support of solutions across Ambu's data landscape, including:
- Enterprise Data Warehouse solutions
- Master Data Management (MDM) solutions
- Data integrations and APIs
- Cloud-based Azure data services
- Bespoke data solutions supporting various business functions
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Designing, developing and maintaining enterprise data solutions
- Building and supporting data integration pipelines and interfaces
- Collaborating with business stakeholders to understand and translate requirements into technical solutions
- Ensuring data quality, reliability and performance across the data platform
- Participating in project delivery, testing and solution deployment activities
- Supporting and enhancing existing data solutions
- Contributing to data governance, architecture and best practices
- Identifying opportunities to improve and modernize the data platform
Suggested candidate profile
Setting you up for success is one of our cornerstones. We imagine you have a robust educational background in computer science, software engineering, data science, or a related field, combined with hands-on experience building and supporting data solutions in a modern cloud environment.
As a person, you are proactive, curious, collaborative, and motivated by solving complex business challenges through technology.
More specifically, you bring:
- Around 5 years of experience Data Engineering, Data Warehousing and Data Integration
- A background in Software Engineering and experience applying software development principles and best practices
- Strong SQL and data modelling skills
- Experience with Microsoft Azure data technologies and cloud services
- Experience developing ETL/ELT solutions, data pipelines, and integrations
- Knowledge of APIs and data integration patterns
- Understanding of Data Warehousing, Master Data Management (MDM), Data Quality, and Data Governance principles
- Experience with Python, C# or similar programming languages
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
