Part-time lecturer position for the course Global Project Management (B-GBI) to the IT University of Copenhagen

Job description
We are seeking a candidate with solid professional and/or academic expertise in Global Project Management who can contribute to educating future professionals working in the intersection of IT and digital technologies, business and management, and organisations and society.

Global Project Management is a 7,5 ECTS course that runs once a week, for 14 weeks on the 3rd semester of the B-GBI programme. The course considers the nature and the challenges associated with global project management, cases include e.g. global software development and ICT interventions for development in the Global South. D uring the course students are expected to relate to cases of global project management from organisational practice (e.g. industry, public sector, NGOs).

• Teach and facilitate course sessions for undergraduate students in English
• Contribute to course planning and development together with the teaching team
• Design and facilitate exercises and case-based learning activities
• Supervise and support student project work and assignments
• Participate in assessment and grading activities
• Bring contemporary industry , public sector, NGOs and/or research perspectives into the classroom

The Global Business Informatics programme educates students to understand and shape the relationship between digital technologies, organisations, and global business practices. Students come from interdisciplinary backgrounds and are trained to work critically and practically with digital transformation in organisations and society.

The IT University of Copenhagen (ITU) is a teaching and research-based university specializing in information technology (IT) and the opportunities it offers. Salary and terms of employment  
Appointment and salary will be in accordance with the Ministry of Taxation’s agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC) and job structure for academic staff at universities.

Qualification Requirements  
The following qualifications are required: 

• Candidates should have a MSc (or equivalent)

And at least one of the following qualifications 

• Relevant high-level practical experience not obtained through a university, scientific employment 
• Employment in a main scientific position at another university 

The ideal candidate should:

• Document experience with teaching in English at university level, (including course design and development of teaching materials)

The applicant will be assessed according to the Appointment Order from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation of 13 March 2012. 

The IT University may use shortlisting in connection to the recruitment process. In case of shortlisting, the Chair of the hiring committee selects applicants for assessment in consultation with the hiring committee after the application deadline. All applicants are notified whether their application has been passed for assessment. The shortlisting of candidates for assessment is based on the criteria in the job posting.
