Project Associate (Intern)

Szpirt & Company is looking for interns who are keen to work with public affairs, business development, strategy and communications for Danish and international clients. We offer an exciting internship with a high degree of responsibility, independence and the opportunity to work on a wide range of assignments.

You will be given real responsibility from the start As an intern at Szpirt & Company, you will work across public affairs, PR and business development. You will contribute to the development of public affairs and business development strategies, political briefings, market analyses and commercial strategies, as well as identifying new growth opportunities and markets for our clients.

You will also be involved in meetings with political decision-makers, building partnerships and strategic relationships, and assignments within strategic communications, social media and media monitoring.

From an early stage, you will be given responsibility for your own tasks and the opportunity to take the lead on specific projects. Working closely with our consultants, you will help deliver high-quality work and build strong client relationships.

We are looking for someone who Is currently studying for a relevant higher education degree, for example in political science, social sciences, business administration, finance, health economics, journalism, communications or a related field.

Has an interest in public affairs, business development, market analysis and strategic advisory work.

Is interested in solving political and commercial challenges at local, national and international level.

Has strong analytical skills and is comfortable with steep learning curves and quickly getting to grips with new industries, business areas and business models.

Has strong written and verbal communication skills in both Danish and English. Understands how to structure a text and an argument in a way that captures and maintains the reader’s attention.

Is able to work independently and in a structured way, while keeping track of their own tasks and deadlines.

Ideally has experience or knowledge of areas such as the financial sector, pharma or life sciences, although this is not a requirement.

What you can expect as an intern with us Szpirt & Company is a consultancy specialising in public affairs, public relations and business development. We advise our clients on strategy and help turn those strategies into action.

You will be based at our office in Bredgade, where we work closely together and place a strong emphasis on professional excellence, well-being and personal development. We work particularly within life sciences, defence and infrastructure, but our client base is broad – ranging from some of Denmark’s largest companies to promising start-ups in Denmark and internationally. This gives you the opportunity to work across a wide range of assignments, industries and business challenges.

We tailor the internship to give you the opportunity to develop your skills and work in areas that match your interests and academic background. We are, of course, flexible around exams and other study commitments. The internship is unpaid, but Szpirt & Company offers a monthly stipend.

Application We are looking for interns for the spring semester of 2027, from January to June 2027, but we are flexible regarding the exact internship period.

The application deadline is 15 October 2026 at 11:59 pm, although interviews will be held on a rolling basis. The first stage will be an in-person interview so that we can get to know each other. If there is a good fit, there will be a second round in which you will be given a case assignment to prepare and present at our office.
