Offshore Broker - Shanghai

MB Shipbrokers Shanghai is looking for a Shipbroker to join its Offshore and Renewable Team.

This role is ideally suited to candidates seeking to take the next step in their shipbroking career within the offshore and renewable sector, preferably with an established client base and portfolio.

In this role, your day-to-day responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
· Support the Team Leader in day-to-day activities and operational tasks.

· Conduct analysis and research on market trends within the offshore and renewable vessel sectors.

· Assist in drafting and negotiating newbuild contracts, as well as sale and purchase agreements.

· Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients.

· Assist in identifying and developing new business opportunities and client relationships.

· Participate in client meetings and industry events as required, including occasional after-hours commitments.

· Able to travel regionally on a short-term basis as required.

Eligibility for this role requires the following qualifications:
· At least 4–5 years of relevant experience in the offshore and/or renewable energy sector.

· Previous experience in a sales or commercial capacity is strongly preferred.

· Degree holder in Maritime, Energy, or a related discipline from a recognized university.

· Fluent in both English and Chinese, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.

· Possesses a strong sales-driven and entrepreneurial mind-set, with a pro-active and results-oriented approach.

· Highly motivated, hardworking, and detail-oriented, with a sharp focus on achieving goals and delivering excellence.

· Holds a valid work and residence visa/status in China.
