You will join our Payments International Infrastructure and Reporting Team. The Payments Area oversees maintenance and modernization of our payment infrastructure, focusing on international payments.
The Software engineer (Java) role offers a unique opportunity to gain deep insight into complex payment environments while contributing to building the future payment infrastructure that will serve as a foundation for years to come. Your direct manager will be Dariusz Tofilo.
Primary tasks and responsibilities include:
- Maintaining and enhancing APIs that provide payment-related data
- Developing and supporting reporting tools
- Optimizing and improving performance of queries in relational databases
- Writing clean, maintainable, and high-quality code following best practices
- Designing and implementing unit, integration, and API tests (e.g., using Postman and Cucumber)
- Working with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) to ensure smooth delivery processes
- Managing and deploying applications using Kubernetes and Helm
- Monitoring and improving application observability using the Elastic Stack (ELK, APM)
To succeed you will have:
- Strong experience with Java (version 17 or newer)
- Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot
- Experience with Hibernate / JPA
- Solid knowledge of RESTful API design and development
- Experience working with JDBC and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL)
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm)
It’s nice-to-have:
- Experience with SAS
- Experience with COBOL
- Experience working with financial systems or payment processing
