Senior Engineering Manager, Gdansk (hybrid) Senior Engineering Manager, Gdansk (hybrid)

Moment is hiring a Senior Engineering Manager with an agentic AI mindset on behalf of a large international SaaS company for their office in Gdansk.

The company knows where it is going. What that actually means for the engineers in Poland is still an open question, and answering it is the job.

The role

You will be the valve between a team of 30 to 40 people in Poland and management in the US. The teams here do not need supervision. They need someone who clears the road, explains the why, and holds them to the outcome. This role leads the strategy at the site and makes sure the team has the best conditions to be a winning team.

You are the kind of leader who spends more time clearing obstacles than adding oversight. You stay close to the work, decide with the information you have rather than waiting for certainty, and you are honest about what is working and what is not. You tell people why something matters and leave the how to them.

On AI

Plenty of companies have bought licences and called it a transformation. Far fewer have changed what an engineer actually does on a Tuesday morning. That is what this role is hired to deliver, and nobody is going to hand you a playbook for it.

So you have done a version of it before. You know that the hard part is not the tooling but the judgement: what you let an agent own, what you never do, how review works when a human did not write the first draft, and how quality holds while the work speeds up.

What they are looking for

You have led managers or a few teams. And there is a change you can point to that happened because you pushed it. Who was against it, what you did about it, how long it took.

You work in SaaS every day. CI/CD, observability and teams that own what they ship are things you have actually run, not things you have read about.

You use agentic tools yourself. When you talk about it, you talk about what changed in how your team delivers, not about which tool you bought.

You are close enough to the work to tell the difference between a good technical argument and a confident one. You are not writing code, but you know when something does not add up.

The software is built for a regulated market, so the bar for quality is higher than in most SaaS. You do not need to know that world when you start. They will teach you.

Practical

Gdansk, hybrid, 2 to 3 days a week in the office. You plan your own hours. There will be the occasional evening call with the US. Permanent contract (umowa o prace). Private medical insurance, life insurance, PPK with an extra employer contribution.
