Software Engineering in Markets Business Technology

In Data & Analytics, we are more than 300 people and still growing. Within this area, the Data Platform Tribe supports tooling and operations for data and analytics across the Group, with around 150 colleagues.

You will join the Data Management Support squad, a team of 12 colleagues working across Denmark, Lithuania and India. The squad implements integrations between enterprise-grade Data Management tools and various databases, streaming platforms and big data platforms. Our purpose is to enable developers across Danske Bank to build cross-platform data products and meet Data Management compliance requirements.

You will work in a highly structured environment with a steep learning curve and strong focus on enterprise-grade quality, security and operational maturity. Depending on your experience and knowledge, we may offer the role at different seniority levels.

We are looking for someone who enjoys scripting, automation and development, and who wants to take their skills to the next level. Experience with Infrastructure as Code and maintaining dynamic infrastructure is a strong advantage.

You should also be a strong team player. Due to the high level of security and governance in a banking environment, you will collaborate closely with colleagues, developers and administrators on a daily basis. Curiosity, humility and the ability to build relationships are therefore essential

You have a great opportunity to join a team at the heart of Data Management implementation in Danske Bank, the largest bank in Denmark. Your integration work will be key to tracking metadata, data lineage and data quality across the Group

You Will:

• Develop and maintain infrastructure and integration solutions as part of the squad.
• Design and write code for automated deployments to AWS.
• Build automation scripts and API integrations between different platforms.
• Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines in close collaboration with the team.
• Work with tools and technologies such as Terraform, AWS CLI, Python and Bash.
• Configure and maintain YAML files, GitHub Actions and other command-line based setup files as part of your daily work.

About You :

• Experience with Terraform, Bash, AWS CLI and command-line work in Linux.
• Some experience with Python scripting or development.
• Experience with Git and using it as part of a development workflow.
• Interest in automation, including scripted deployments and CI/CD setups.
• Some experience with AWS, preferably in a restricted enterprise environment.
• Experience working with configuration files and infrastructure setup.
• Ability and willingness to learn new tools, technologies and processes.

This position can be located both in Denmark and Lithuania. If you are hired in Lithuania, the applicable salary range will be from 4960 to 7440 EUR monthly (based on your competencies relevant for the job).

Your job function (position) in the job contract will be Software Engineering.
We are seeking someone who enjoys scripting, automating procedures, and setting up systems, and who is eager to enhance their skillset. The skill requirements within DMS are high, providing an excellent opportunity to develop advanced capabilities, particularly in navigating a true enterprise-grade development environment. For the primary role of developing workflows, strong interpersonal skills are essential, as the position involves daily interaction with testers to accommodate human inputs and make necessary adjustments.
